Project
RE:MIND is a critical design project examining how health-tracking technologies can influence self-image and processes of autonomous decision-making. Developed as a diploma project in Budapest, it proposes an alternative approach to self-monitoring that moves away from algorithm-driven feedback and toward conscious routines, inward reflection, and personal interpretation. Rather than translating everyday experience into predefined metrics, RE:MIND encourages users to develop their own visual language for observing and understanding internal states over time.
Approach
The project takes the form of a perpetual calendar accompanied by a modular card system. Together, they create a physical framework for visual journalling, allowing users to organise, interpret, and track their internal states without relying on automated scoring or algorithmic recommendations. Through repeated interaction, users gradually build a personal coding system based on their own observations, creating a record that remains open to interpretation rather than reducing experience to fixed data points. The visual identity and packaging were developed as integral parts of this system, reinforcing its tactile, reflective, and non-prescriptive character.
