Project

Friss Kakas Animation Film Days Spot is a promotional animation created for the premiere event of MOME Animation diploma films in Budapest. Directed and designed by Máté Horesnyi and produced by Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, the film introduces the event through a playful animated world centred around the rooster motif associated with Friss Kakas.

Approach

The spot uses a deliberately surreal and energetic visual language built through 2D animation, expressive character design and exaggerated movement. Rather than treating the rooster as a static symbol, the film turns it into a flexible narrative device that moves through a series of unexpected visual situations. The result is a compact, highly distinctive piece that functions both as event communication and as an independent animation, reflecting the experimental character of contemporary student animation.
